5/1/2021 0 Comments FINAL CRITICAL REFLECTION 4HOW DID YOU INTEGRATE TECHNOLOGIES – SOFTWARE, HARDWARE AND ONLINE – IN THIS PROJECT?
Utilizing the resources given to me by my instructor, I focused on how my layouts could potentially look through Canva. Canva has let me better visualize how the structure and the bare bones of the project would look like, it helped make my ideas a little more concrete. Besides that, I also used Clip Studio Paint to edit photos to create layers for the cover of the magazine. Through both softwares, I have been able to work better on the project.

4/30/2021 0 Comments FINAL Critical Reflection 3HOW DID YOUR PRODUCTION SKILLS DEVELOP THROUGHOUT THIS PROJECT?
I got more familiar with the development and layout of magazines throughout this project. Production wise, I got much better at familiarizing myself with angles and lighting of an area to better show a subject in a photo. I got better with editing photos as well as incorporating text onto an image. The medium I primarily work with in terms of Media is digital art, to be able to apply those skills and learn new ones over the period of this project has been wonderful. 4/30/2021 0 Comments Final critical reflection 1HOW DOES YOUR PRODUCT USE OR CHALLENGE CONVENTIONS AND HOW DOES IT REPRESENT SOCIAL GROUPS OR ISSUES?
Typically, magazines centered around pets are bolder in their color choices and fonts, so I wanted to move outside the norm. Had it been a full magazine, I would have liked it to represent foster animals and rescues, as my dog was a foster before we found him. It means a lot to me that. Most magazines centered around pets have a look that is often not aesthetically pleasing or artistic. I wanted to explore what a magazine based around pets would look like if it had similar expectations as a fashion magazine- Something artistic and modern. 4/30/2021 0 Comments FINAL Critical Reflection 2HOW DOES YOUR PRODUCT ENGAGE WITH AUDIENCES AND HOW WOULD IT BE DISTRIBUTED AS A REAL MEDIA TEXT?
I would want my magazine to be accessible through digital and physical distribution. I want it to be able to have a wide range of access. So, by giving the option for both, people would be able to have it safely online with the option to order a digital copy. I feel like it would be able to reach the most people this way. I want my magazine to invoke a feeling something homely with artistry. The photos will feel authentic, no fancy sets, no expensive props, just the sheer happiness that accompany animals. There's something wonderfully grounding that brings a sense of safety and contentment when animals are clearly overjoyed. Whether those pages be digital or physical, I want that feeling to be what engages the audience the most. 4/26/2021 0 Comments Final Double Page SpreadThis is the final double page spread for my magazine, 'Woofer.' 4/9/2021 0 Comments A series of unfortunate eventsDue to complications and a lack of response and commitment from my original model, I have shifted the focus and theme of my magazine relatively last minute to attempt to keep the photography my own and not something from the internet.
